Proactive International PR takes its responsibility for the privacy and confidentiality of your data seriously. We are taking all appropriate steps to ensure that we comply with the new GDPR regulations and the guidance provided by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Under the new European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with effect from 25th May 2018, we are legally obliged to undertake additional and extensive controls on, and monitoring of, the data held on any individual which is used for communications for the purposes of carrying out our legitimate business relationship.
All aspects of business relating to the dissemination of information about our products and services, and the storage of individual’s contacts data on which this depends, must, by law, comply with the GDPR.
For anyone to continue receiving marketing and general communications from us – for example, emails about our activities and services, our quarterly newsletter and any other information – Proactive International PR must update any personal data we hold on all individuals and record all individuals’ preferences as to how that data is managed and retained. We are legally required to obtain clearly documented consent both to store any individual’s data and to contact those individuals in the future.
If we do not receive your consent, we will be legally obliged to remove your data from our marketing database and we will no longer be able to contact you.
The General Data Protection Regulation also gives you the right to access the information we hold about you on our database, to amend and update that information, and to remove that information if you wish to do so.
Once you are subscribed, we’ll keep your details until you decide you don’t want to hear from us anymore. Any information we hold on you will be deleted upon request.
If you are a client or prospective client of Proactive International PR, we have a legitimate interest and will inevitably hold some personal information about you in order to be able to conduct that business relationship. We will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the PR/Marketing services you have requested from us. We will only keep information that is relevant to the administration of your account and will never pass this information on to third parties without your written consent.
You have the right to request to see all such information and to withdraw your consent for us to use your information at any time.
