IDT Corporation (IDT) is a global provider of international telecommunications and payment services. As just one company in this highly competitive market, it needed a way to stand out from the crowd.
IDT approached Proactive PR and asked us to not only support its PR but also dramatically raise its global brand awareness by highlighting the company’s strengths and unique selling propositions.
Proactive PR recommended entering Industry Awards as a way to raise IDT’s profile. We spoke in depth to the team and chose to enter four categories in the Global Carrier Awards: Best Global Wholesale Carrier – Voice; Best Voice Service Innovation – Developed Market; Best SMS Innovation; and Executive Of The Year. These awards are highly regarded by those in the telecoms industry and are renowned for having tough judges and lengthy submission requirements.
Proactive PR gathered details, quotes, testimonials and campaign details from IDT’s CEO, marketing team and wider work force in New Jersey, Jerusalem and London. We then drafted and finalised all four award submissions.
The Global Carrier Awards contacted Proactive PR and told them that IDT had been shortlisted for three out the four awards. The IDT team was informed and Proactive PR arranged for the company and selected staff to attend the awards ceremony, held in Paris in November 2015.
On the night, IDT won the Best SMS Innovation category for its SMS product range, including the IDT MagicWords app.
